This is Chuck and Kellie Thompson's (and Joel Thompson's) 1969 GTO.  The quest began for this car in 1979 while still in high school, when my dad told me I couldn't have one because I wasn't going to "wrap it around a tree on his watch".  In 2000, Kellie and I began our search for a near-original '69 GTO with A/C, M-20 4 speed, and hideaway headlight.  Via the internet, we found our car in February of 2002.  It was all we hoped for and with all the options we were looking for.  We bought one-way airline tickets to Minnesota, purchased the car, and drove it home.  Many of the exacting details remained to be done to the car, which have been underway for two years.  Here it is now, 2004.  Kellie, Joel and I have our dream car and are enjoying it immensely.
